The women beneficiaries are marginally poor and often fall prey to social abuse, trafficking and flesh trade. The economic exploitation in the unstructured trade of waste clearing, segregation and sale seize their right to dignity making them the most vulnerable section of the society. Their kids and family are ostracized from the mainstream development and survive as ‘Citizens of Dirt; in the shanty towns without any basic amenities of health water and sanitation. Furthermore, in this male dominated society, the minimum revenue these women earn from rag picking is forcefully taken away from them by the male members, leaving them & their children vulnerable & helpless.
Resolve Trash to Cash is a movement against this societal discrepancy and human right violation seeking strong policy implications for the social security and economic wellbeing of these distressed women. SAFE is leading the movement from the front and guiding the group to sustainable and inclusive growth.
